Why did you decide to found Cosma Foundation?
After the death of my father Cosma in 2003, I decided to continue his dream of looking after those children in Ssembabule who are vulnerable or have lost their parents, to give them education and hope in life.
What do you like the most about working with the children?
As the director of the foundation, I feel great satisfaction knowing that my work is changing the lives of children, allowing them to lead happier lives.
What do you hope Cosma Foundation will achieve in the long run?
I hope that Cosma will achieve its dream of helping all the children in Ssembabule district, and reaching its aims and objectives, as stated in our constitution.

Morris Muhindo, Foundation Coordinator
Qualifications
B.A. Economics, Makarere University
Why did you start working with children and get involved in community development?
I have a strong desire to help young children who are going through suffering.  This dedication dates way back to when I was a child, when I started sharing the little I had with fellow children who came from relatively poor families. I later joined volunteering organizations, inlcuding the Red Cross, Interact, and Rotaract, in addition to collecting relief items to help young children who were in refugee camps in northern Uganda.
Why did you decide to join Cosma Foundation?
I was introduced to Charles through a mutual friend whom I was working with on a project back in 2009. I decided to join Cosma because I wanted to help this foundation build a strong structure and establish a formal level of organization.
What do you like the most about working with the children?
I love listening to their stories, their hopes, and their dreams. It is very touching for me to be able to interact with them on a deep, personal level.
What do you hope Cosma Foundation will achieve in the long run?
I envision Cosma to be a foundation that cultivates the future generation of leaders from children who have lost hope in life, instilling in them a passion to serve others in need.

Nyonjo Timothy, External Relations Officer

I wanted to work to help these orphaned children to get over life challenges.
Why did you decide to join Cosma Foundation?
I am a friend of Charles. When I learned that he was trying to set up a foundation to help children, I felt that I have some experience and knowledge in the field and wanted to help him establish Cosma Foundation and help it to grow.
What do you like the most about working with the children?
I like playing football with the kids. Being close to them, getting to know them and interacting with them at a non-formal level allows me to learn about their problems, hopes, and dreams. I believe this will help me to assist them reach for those dreams.
What do you hope Cosma Foundation will achieve in the long run?
I hope that Cosma will develop into a full-fledged education and community development organization, with its own primary and secondary schools and an orphanage, so that it becomes a significant force in developing the Ssembabule community.
